About the Author


Hi there! My name is Evan Spargo. I am half Filipino and half Australian and I’m a Fitness Professional and Emcee / Host, based in Manila, Philippines. I have studied an Exercise Sports Science and Sports Management Degree in Australia, pursued a career as a personal trainer in three different countries and was a Century Tuna 2014 Superbods Finalist. 


So this may come to a surprise to you but, I love all things health and fitness… if you haven’t guessed already!

I decided to start this blog because I want to share my ongoing struggle to rise above my flaws, to see past my imperfections and to embrace them and understand that they have helped make me who I am today. I hope my journey that I share with you will have a positive impact and help you develop your health, fitness and self-esteem. 

As a child, I was an introverted, shy and chubby half Filipino / half Australian boy in Melbourne, Australia. I was unsure of my identity and my role in life. I couldn’t string a conversation together, let alone look someone in the eye!

As I grew older, I started to work on myself physically and mentally. I focused on becoming healthy, exercising more, playing sports and getting out of my comfort zone. I decided in my early 20s – enough was enough – I don’t want to be afraid to be myself anymore and I wanted to face my fears and push myself to greater heights. 

This led to my studies and career in health, fitness and sports, to discovering my career and love for standing in front of a camera, hosting events and public speaking. As well as the passion I have to travel the world, from having lived in three countries and visiting over twenty, all of which boosted my self-confidence to take giant leaps in life.

I want to share my expertise, thoughts and experiences to others who may not have been taught how to improve in these areas, who may feel helpless and don’t have an abundance of time. We all have something special inside us and I want to help people realize this and use it.  

I will offer quick workouts and training programs people can follow easily, motivational training ideas, healthy nutrition tips, self-development ideas and the positive roles sports play in our lives. 

My mission is to inspire and make people feel amazing about themselves through the love of my passions in life!
